How to Buy Designer Online Without Getting Burned

Proof you can hold

Authentic pieces carry evidence. Serial numbers, brand tags, authenticity cards, and increasingly a QR code that opens the maker's own website. That last one is worth doing yourself. Scan it. Watch it resolve to the real brand. A counterfeit cannot fake a link it does not control.

The photographs

Look closely at the images. A real seller shows you the actual piece, from several angles, in real light. Stolen stock photos, a single flattering render, or a watermark from another shop all tell you the seller has never held the item. You want to see the thing you are buying, not an idea of it.

The quiet details honest sellers show

Trust lives in the boring parts. A real company name and address. A returns policy with actual terms, not a wall of excuses. A way to reach a person. Secure checkout. Clear answers on shipping and customs, so nothing surprises you at the door. A seller who handles the unglamorous parts properly tends to handle the product the same way.

Reviews, read honestly

Reviews help, but read them with care. A page of five stars posted in the same week means little. Look for detail, for photos, for the ordinary language of a real customer. And know that the best sellers would rather have three honest reviews than thirty invented ones. So would we.
